The computer chip is an item, one or more of which Chip must usually collect in order to open the socket to reach the exit.
The maximum number of computer chips that can be placed in a level is 2048, two on each tile (one on the upper layer and one on the lower layer). However, the maximum number of chips that can be placed in a valid level is 2045, because:
- The Chip tile must be included in the level, and
- The exit must also be included, with no chips underneath it.
